SSX team using real world NASA data to build courses.


The new SSX is shaping up to be something potentially awesome.

At E3 today, EA revealed the team behind the series reboot has been using public, real world topographic data gathered by NASA to use as a jumping off point for it’s new courses. The new SSX, officially announced at the 2010 Spike Video Game awards, looks to be heading in the right direction by combining all the insane, over-the-top tricks of the previous games, while giving it a more “realistic” visual grounding. The so-far announced returning characters include Elise and Mac, though EA promises many, many more will be revealed leading up to the games’ January 2012 release.
