(UPDATED) Robin playable in Arkham City, with a catch.

(UPDATE) Hit the drop to see the official first look at Robin in Arkham City straight from WB GAmes/Rocksteady.

Ever since Batman: Arkham Asylum came to be one of the biggest games of 2009, fans have been clamoring for more characters.

While developer Rocksteady last week confirmed that Catwoman would be playable, today brings news that the boy-wonder himself, Robin, will be too.

But, there’s a catch, there’s always a catch.

Robin, and the two challenge maps he’s payable on, are exclusive to those who pre-order the game through Best Buy. Gamestop customers will be getting Joker’s Carnival Challenge Map, while Amazon and Wal-Mart’s bonuses have yet to be revealed.

We could all get upset and whine about how retailer exclusive content is unfair to the consumer, blah, blah, blah, but we all know that every single pre-order bonus will eventually be released as DLC, so we can all be quit.
